ATOMIC RACE: An XBOX 360 Game

The sun is dying.

On its burning surface, unstable atoms fight to survive as gravity turns savage. A black hole is forming - space is collapsing, time is unraveling. There’s only one way out: race the collapse or be lost forever.

Can you escape the pull of the void?

ATOMIC RACE is a multiplayer physics-based game for Xbox 360, developed in collaboration with Christian Schüller and Nicholas Plescko as part of the ETH Zürich Game Programming Lab course.

Set on the surface of a dying sun collapsing into a black hole, the game challenges players-each controlling a particle-like atom-to escape the increasingly chaotic gravitational field. The gameplay features extensive real-time particle simulations, dynamic physics, and fast-paced local multiplayer mechanics, all built using Microsoft XNA and Direct3D.
